Christa Carretero is the Founder and Chef of Cooking Girl. In 2003 Christa moved to San Francisco where she attended the California Culinary Academy. While at the CCA she ate her way through the city, from fine dining restaurants to the best hole in the walls around. In between eating, Christa found time to extern at Chez Panisse and work at a Kimpton owned restaurant, Ponzu.

After graduating in 2004, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she was hired by Chef Jose Andres to work with Think Food Group. She started her culinary tour at Think Food Group working at Jaleo and then moving on to help open Oyamel. Christa’s last and final stop on the tour was at Cafe Atlantico, Minibar where she spent four years working under her mentor Katsuya Fukushima.

We cater to our clients by providing box lunches, party trays, and appetizers. We have a number of items on our take out menu as well. We would love to see you!
